We encourage you to request refills for any medications from your physician at the time of your follow-up visits to Mountain Docs Family Medicine. This allows the doctor to thoroughly review your medications with you and to discuss potential side effects. You may also ask your pharmacy to electronically request refills via our ePrescription network. If you have signed up for the Patient Portal, you may request refills via your patient portal.

When absolutely necessary, prescription refills can be requested by calling your doctor's nurse at 828-306-4407 during regular office hours. When calling about your medications, please have your pharmacy's telephone number available to expedite the process.

We feel it is not good medical practive to renew routine medications without access to patient's medical records. For this reason, refills should not be requested except during regular business hours. Certain medications, including those for pain and others to which the Federal Drug Control regulations apply, will not be refilled outside of our regular office.

ARRIVING FROM GEORGIA
Continue on U.S. 441 Business into Franklin The 4-lane drops to two lanes and becomes Porter Street. Follow past Franklin High School to traffic light at intersection of Palmer Street. Turn right and get in left lane when possible. Turn left at the next traffic light. Stay and right lane continue to stop sign at First Baptist Church. Continue straight and find the offices on the right.

ARRIVING FROM ASHEVILLE/SYLVA
From U.S. 23/441 take first business exit into town. Note hospital signs. At the fifth (5th)traffic light turn right. Continue to stop sign at First Baptist Church. Continue straight and find the offices on the right.

ARRIVING FROM HAYESVILLE/MURPHY
Off U.S. 64 4-lane take the 441 business exit (just past Lowe’s) and follow Business 441 into Franklin. The exit ends in a traffic light. Turn right and the 4-lane will become two lanes. Continue straight on the two lane (Porter Street) passing Franklin High School and Heritage Hollow to the traffic light at the Porter and Palmer Street intersection. Turn right and get in left lane when possible. Turn left at the next traffic light. Stay and right lane continue to stop sign at First Baptist Church. Continue straight and find the offices on the right.
